Drama without words: opera paraphrase for piano
edited by Goran Filipec
Brilliant virtuoso, with an imaginative exuberance, he is able both to electrify his audience and to enchant it with his rare sensitivity. Deeply versed in the works of Franz Liszt, Goran Filipec supports the subjectivity of interpretation as an act of co-creation of the musical work, so much so that he often fuses his own arrangements and adaptations to the reading of the original. Dedicated to research on pianistic practices of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, he boasts a joint doctorate in Music, Research and Interpretation from the Sorbonne University and the National Conservatory of Paris.
