This year the whole world of jazz celebrates the centenary of the birth of one of its absolute protagonists: Charlie “Bird” Parker (1920-1955).
Parker is the musician and composer who reinvented the alto saxophone and contributed most of all to founding bebop.
The project includes the revival of the famous recording “Charlie Parker With Strings”, a recording from the 50s that includes a repertoire of compositions that have entered directly into history, some of which are “Summertime”, “I’m in the mood for love” , “Laura”, “Just Friends”, and many others.
The staff consists of the Francesco Cafiso quartet and the string orchestra of the Naonis Music Academy conducted by Maestro Valter Sivilotti.
An event for lovers of this music, a pure jazz concert.
