“A pied piper on the piano whose music comes straight from the heart, the mind and the fingertips”. This is how Austrian pianist Markus Schirmer has been defined; a performer that can use the instrument to tell the most vivid tales. His adoration of Schubert is equalled by his drive to explore new musical territory. Chamber music plays a fundamental role in his intensive concert schedule and this has led to his invitation to join the project in collaboration with “Le Dimore del Quartetto” association, involving a group with members from Colombia, Korea and Italy. Despite originating from three distant continents and each having a different culture and background, the four musicians of Quartetto Henao have succeeded in their ambitious goal of finding a single, original voice.
