The Hospital of San Gregorio is a small building, close to the river Livenza, in Garibaldi Street, in the old town center of Sacile.
The origins of this hospital are to be found among the very first documentary records of the city; reliable sources indicate that already in 1199 there was a hospice for wayfarers.
The interior is characterized by a structure of round and lowered arches, supported by quadrangular pillars with rounded off corners that bear traces of ancient plasters with decorative paintings and more recent charcoal inscriptions.

The Hospital of San Gregorio is a small building, close to the river Livenza, built in the heart of the city as a hospice for wayfarers and pilgrims.
The name of the hall is due to the “butto”, the traditional barrel-shaped compartment in which household waste was dumped and which was always placed under the floor of the kitchens, emerged during the restoration works.
